Investiture Ceremony is an important occasion ,where a College entrusts its upcoming leaders with certain roles and responsibilities. Delegation of responsibility and giving authority of students is important as it teaches them lifelong skills of being powerful and caring at the same time.
Student Union Investiture ceremony was held in a grand manner on 27th June 2023 in our College Auditorium. The ceremony began with prayer service by Ms.Rakshitha , Ms.Jinsha and Ms. Merlyn , this was followed by an Invocation dance by II PCMC girls . Mr.Rizwan Arshad, was our Chief Guest. He is an MLA of Shivaji Nagar Constituency. Rev. Sr. Kamala Scaria ( Superior General of SAB ) and Rev.Sr Arul Mary ( Assistant Superior General of SAB) were the Guests of Honour .Sr.Sini (Lecturer in English)formally welcomed the gathering this was followed by lighting the traditional lamp. Chief Guest Mr.Rizwan Arshad spoke on the topic ” Women Empowerment “
Ms.Akifa Ameena of II BASC is elected as the Union President and Ms. Syeda Shafiya of II PCMC as the General Secretary of the student council . Principal Rev.Sr. Dr.Sophie George administered the pledge to the newly elected Student Union Members ,The Presidents ,The General Secretaries of various clubs and The Class Prefects took the oath with a promise that they would carry out their duties with integrity , faith and excellence . During the swearing -in ceremony the members of the student council were bestowed with badges for their respective posts . The College Choir “We are the stars ” entertained the audience with their melodious renditions. Students of II EBAS “Desi Girls” set the stage on fire with their enthralling performance followed by “The Beats Crew”,the students of II HEPS performed a scintillating dance. Ms.Syeda Shafia,the General Secretary of Student Union proposed the vote of thanks . The ceremony was concluded with National Anthem.
