Sadbhavana is a Hindi word which means harmony. Sadbhavana divas is therefore “Indian harmony Day” indicating India’s communal harmony. It is celebrated on 20th August every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sri Rajiv Gandhi, one of the eminent Prime Ministers of India. Sadbhavana Divas is celebrated to encourage the feeling of national integration where every community and section lives with love and harmony with each other.Sadbhavana Diwas is celebrated across the nation with great zeal and enthusiasm. On this day a pledge is also taken by the people across the country. It is celebrated on August 20 every year, Sadbhavana Diwas commemorates the memory of our late erstwhile, Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. Giving due importance to this day, lecturers and students were asked to take pledge,which was administered by our Principal Reverend Sister Rincy. We took pledge that we would work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of caste, region, religion or language and shall resolve all differences among us through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.
