Investiture Ceremony -30th June 2026

Leadership begins with character, grows through responsibility, and leaves a legacy through service.”

St. Anne’s PU College for Girls solemnly conducted its Union Investiture Ceremony on 30th June 2026 in the college auditorium, marking the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council for the academic year 2026–27. The programme reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible, confident, and service-oriented student leaders. The ceremony was gracefully compered by Ms. Roopa of the Department of English and Ms. Vijaya of the Department of Physics, whose seamless coordination ensured the smooth flow of the programme.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Dr. Pauline Priya, LLM, Ph.D., Principal of St. Joseph’s College of Law, along with College Director Dr. Rev. Sr. Sophy George, Principal Ms. Mary Latha, Administrative Staff Sr. Philo, Staff Secretary Ms. Petricea Catherin, Union Animator Ms. Pushpa, and College President Ms. Evangeline, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance.
This was followed by a meaningful prayer service led by Ms. Lailisha of the Department of Chemistry and Ms. Grace Moses of the Department of Statistics. A graceful invocation dance presented by the I PU students added to the solemnity and beauty of the occasion.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Sr. Sini Pappachen K of the Department of English, who delivered the Welcome Speech and introduced the distinguished Chief Guest, Dr. Pauline Priya. The programme also featured the presentation of club reports, highlighting the achievements and activities of the various student clubs during the previous academic year.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Investiture of the Student Council, during which the newly elected office bearers were conferred with badges and sashes, symbolising the trust and responsibility placed upon them. The student leaders took an oath to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, commitment, and selfless service while carrying out their responsibilities with dedication.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Pauline Priya, an alumna of St. Anne’s PU College (2005–2007 batch), shared her inspiring journey from being a timid student to becoming the Principal of a reputed institution. Recalling how participating in debate competitions helped her overcome fear and build confidence, she encouraged students to embrace every opportunity for growth. Quoting, “A river cuts through rock not because of its strength, but because of its persistence,” she urged students to remain persistent, consistent, and nurturing in their approach to life. She reminded the young leaders that leadership is not merely a position but a responsibility that teaches integrity, accountability, humility, and conviction. Encouraging them to face challenges fearlessly, she advised them never to question, “Why me?” but instead to choose integrity over convenience, be accountable for their actions, uplift others as they grow, and lead with purpose. She concluded by inspiring every student to transform obstacles into opportunities and become the author of their own success story.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Mehak Adiba, the College Secretary, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Management, Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty members, staff, students, and everyone whose dedicated efforts contributed to the success of the programme. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
The Union Investiture Ceremony 2026–27 was a memorable and inspiring occasion that instilled in the newly elected student leaders a deep sense of responsibility, commitment, and service. It reaffirmed St. Anne’s PU College for Girls’ mission of nurturing young women who lead with confidence, integrity, compassion, and excellence.
