80th Independence Day Celebration
The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm by all the institutions of St. Anne’s Educational Campus—Marian Primary School, St. Mary’s High School, St. Anne’s Public School, St. Anne’s PU College, and St. Anne’s First Grade College. This year, the celebration was hosted by St. Mary’s Girls’ High School.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. T. H. Anjanappa, State Awardee, M.S., F.I.C.S., F.I.A.M.S., EMBA, M.R.S.H. (London), and Surgical Gastroenterologist. His presence added significance and inspiration to the celebration.
The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem and a series of patriotic and cultural presentations by the students of the various institutions. The celebration beautifully reflected the spirit of freedom, unity, patriotism, and national pride.
The students of St. Anne’s PU College enthusiastically participated in the celebration by presenting a vibrant Yakshagana performance, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka. They also delivered an inspiring speech in English, highlighting the significance of Independence Day, the values of freedom and responsibility, and the role of the younger generation in building a strong and united India.
The participation of students from all the institutions made the occasion colourful and memorable. The celebration served as a reminder that freedom comes with responsibility and that every citizen has a role to play in shaping the future of our nation.
The 80th Independence Day celebration concluded on a joyful and patriotic note, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride in the nation and a commitment to uphold the values of unity, peace, and freedom.
