The Graduation Ceremony for the II PU students was held on 31st January 2025. The event commenced with a solemn march by the Student Union members, who accompanied the Chief Guest, Dr. Shobha Venkatanagappa, Senior Scientist global plant variety development networks leading projects.

The ceremony began with a graceful Invocation Dance, followed by a prayer service led by Ms. Lailisha and Sonu Serra. The ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp was then performed by the Chief Guest, Dr. Shobha Venkatanagappa, Rev. Principal Dr. Rev. Sr. Sophy George, Principal-in-Charge Ms. Mary Latha, Staff Secretary Ms. Roopa Shree, and the Student Union President, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment.

The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Monica from the Department of Hindi, setting the tone for the momentous occasion.

A significant part of the ceremony was the administration of the graduation pledge by Rev. Principal Dr. Rev. Sr. Sophy George, inspiring the young graduates to uphold values of integrity and perseverance.

This was followed by an address by Principal incharge Ms. Mary Latha, who spoke about the importance of balancing intelligence with emotional well-being, embracing failures as part of the journey, and taking accountability for one’s choices. She encouraged students not to compare themselves with others but to focus on becoming the best version of themselves while building meaningful relationships.

The ceremony also included the felicitation of five esteemed staff members retiring this year, acknowledging their dedication and contributions.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Shobha Venkatanagappa, in her inspiring speech, emphasized the power of a positive mindset, the importance of always saying “Yes, I can do it,” and how to take steps toward success with confidence and determination.

Adding an emotional touch to the event, the college choir presented heartfelt farewell songs, creating a nostalgic and memorable atmosphere. This was followed by the honoring of the II PU board exam 2024 toppers and centum scorers, celebrating their outstanding academic achievements.

As a special tribute, the students of I EBAB, led by Ms. Navya and her team, delivered a lively and entertaining dance and mime performance  for their seniors, making the occasion even more joyful.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end of a truly remarkable and inspiring Graduation Ceremony.
