St. Anne’s PU College joyfully celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava, marking the formation of the state of Karnataka. The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony, where the College Director, Dr. Rev. Sr. Sophie George, hoisted the state flag, accompanied by the Principal, Mrs. Mary Latha.
The gathering resonated with pride as everyone joined in singing the State Anthem — “Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujate.”
Mr. Gajendra Murthy, Kannada Teacher from St. Mary’s High School, graced the occasion as the guest speaker. In his address, he emphasized the importance of speaking and preserving the Kannada language, urging students to take pride in their mother tongue and uphold the rich culture and heritage of Karnataka.
The celebration filled the campus with a spirit of unity and cultural pride, reminding everyone of the significance of Kannada in shaping our identity.
