St. Anne’s Group Marks 78th Independence Day with Pride and Patriotic Spirit
Justice N. Santosh Hegde inspires students to uphold integrity, avoid greed, and live self-content lives during celebrations hosted by Marian Primary School.
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur and patriotic zeal at St. Anne’s Group of Institutions, comprising Marian Primary School, St. Mary’s Girls High School, St. Anne’s Public School, St. Anne’s PU College, and St. Anne’s First Grade College. This year, the event was hosted by Marian Primary School.
The celebrations began with the arrival of dignitaries, a vibrant band display, invocation, and the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by an impressive march past. Sr. Baslin, Principal of Marian Primary School, warmly welcomed the gathering.
The distinguished Chief Guest, Honourable Mr. Justice Nitte Santosh Hegde, Retired Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India, delivered an inspiring address urging students to be patriotic, avoid greed, and live with self-contentment.
The event was graced by the President of the Function, Rev. Sr. Celeena Palatty (Superior General, SAB), and the Guest of Honour, Rev. Sr. Gracy Anthony (Education Secretary, SAB). Special invitees included Rev. Sr. Sophie George, Rev. Sr. Aneecia, Rev. Sr. Lincy, Rev. Sr. Siby Chako, and Rev. Sr. Lali Sebastin.
The cultural programme featured a prayer dance, drill display, Hindi and Kannada orations, lezim performance, CBSE presentation, patriotic songs, and a skit. Students from all institutions under the St. Anne’s banner participated with great enthusiasm, making the celebration a vibrant tribute to India’s freedom.
